BALAYAGE, HIGHLIGHTS & HAIR COLOURING /

Is the process of using foils to separate strands of hair which will be lightened from strands of hair which will remain its natural colour. The process is done by applying lightener to the hair that has been woven and separated using an applicator brush.

Is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It’s a freehand hair colouring technique that gives a really blended natural look with no harsh or obvious regrowth lines. It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour, similar to what nature gives us as children, with softer, less noticeable re-growth. The principal idea being less is more when creating a natural, multi-tonal finish. The technique uses patches of light and shade to create multiple dimensions to the colour. It’s a great method if you want to refresh your colour but don’t want to go for a bold colour overhaul.

Is the practice of changing the hair colour. The main reasons for this are cosmetic: to cover grey or white hair, to change to a colour regarded as more fashionable or desirable, to restore the original hair colour after it has been discoloured by hairdressing processes or sun bleaching. Good to Know -  Lightening virgin hair with hair dye is possible up to 3 or 4 tones - you cannot, however lift/lighten previously coloured hair with hair colour only. The hair will need to be bleached and treated before new light colour can be applied.
